10th - 17th December, 2016

Hi Karen - Once again you have made my birthday really special.  I love staying at your beautiful cottage.  I think I always will, obviously my words involve John who has really spoilt me for my big birthday, hope to see you again next year.  You should be so very proud of your beautiful holiday home.  Lots of love Jackie and John

26th March - 2nd April, 2016

Wonderful holiday and fabulous cottage.  Thank you Karen you have thought of everything and such a home from home.  On searching for cottages cleanliness is always top of my list and this cottage is spotless.  Comfy bed and within walking distance of Chester guarantees a return visit.  Can recommend Marmalade's Cafe which is en route to town.  Gorgeous food and very friendly staff.  Betws-y-Coed in Wales [gateway into Snowdonia] is a beautiful village amongst the hills with great walks.  Chester Zoo is a must especially with children.  For walking also try the National Trust's Tatton Hall.  Will certainly recommend this cottage to friends and relatives.  Hope to see you again.  The Stewart Family, Durham

15th - 29th August, 2015

Well that's another 2 hectic/relaxing weeks in Jasmine Cottage, our 13th year.  We love it.  Shopping, Zoo, Blue Planet, Liverpool - more shopping, Llandudno up to Great Orme, boat rides, ice cream farm [really good for young children], candle workshop, but mainly shopping.  Car packed to capacity.  Will  be back next year.  Thanks Karen and Allan.  Mary, Amanda and Aimee - Isle fo Man.

25th July - 1st August, 2015

Another fantastic stay in Jasmine Cottage.  We couldn't ask for a better place to stay. We would recommend Tatton Park, Chester Zoo and the newly refurbished Ice Cream Farm for families.  Kathryn, Robin and Freya - Newcastle.

21st - 28th February, 2015

We didn't think you could improve on perfection but Karen and Alan have proved us wrong!!  The new t.v., kitchen and windows just make Jasmine Cottage feel even more like home.  The wine, chocolates, tea, coffee and milk are all very much appreciated as well.  Fourth time here and we still can't get enough of Chester.  We leave relaxed and rested and ready to book Jasmine next year.  Thanks again for your warm welcome.  Catherine and Peter Mayfield, Wakefield.

9th August - 23rd August, 2014

Well what can we say - this has been our 12th year staying at Jasmine Cottage and we will be returning next year.  We absolutely love coming back here and class it as a second home as that is exactly how it feels.  Karen and Allan are great and provide everything you could need so you can enjoy your holiday.  It's as other people have mentioned, Chester Zoo, Chesire Oaks are not too far away and  good days out.  Sightseeing bus tour and boat cruise on the river are also a good way to see Chester.  There really is so much you can do if you want.  Thanks Karen and Allan - see you next year!  Amanda, Mary and Aimee - Isle of Man

26th July - 2nd August, 2014

An absolutely fantastic holiday!  Our first family holiday with our 9 month old daughter and Jasmine Cottage was the home away from home that we needed.  Had read about the high standards but this cottage exceeded all expectation.  A lovely warm welcome from Karen also, we don't want to go home.  Hopefully we'll be able to visit Chester again soon and would not choose anywhere else to stay. Kathryn, Robin and Freya, Newcastle

31st January - 6th February, 2014

On behalf of Samantha, Millie, Harry and myself a very big and heartfelt thank you for such a wonderful stay. We were left in house limbo last week after selling our house and our new one not being ready for a further week. Karen flew to the rescue and provided us with a really warm "home" for our family. We have stayed in many places home and abroad but Jasmine Cottage is without doubt the most comfortable and relaxing, a real home from home and worthy of its 5 Star rating. I will definitely be recommending to friends and family when they travel to Chester and the surrounding areas. Fantastic, and once again, thank you. Mike, Samantha, Harry and Millie x

13th December, 2013 - 2nd January, 2014

Karen, what can we say! other than "fantastic", a definite home from home with everything we ever needed. A warm cosy well equipped place for our three week stay. We are already familiar with Chester and its surroundings so this place we knew would be just great to nip into the city as required. We have enjoyed every minute and would not hesitate to return and will definitely recommend to our friends. All the very best for 2014! Tony & Rose, Perth, Western Australia xx

7th - 12th December, 2013

Thank you Karen for an amazing few days, your cottage is lovely andso warming and comfortable. You have thought of everything and the decor and finishing touches were beautiful. This was only our first time staying in your beautiful cottage and it definitely won't be the last, it was perfect for us in every way and within easy reach of Chester which we both love especially at Christmas. Thanks again Karen look forward to seeing you again very soon. Mr. and Mrs. Swadling [John and Jackie] Bromsgrove, Worcestershire xxx

1st - 8th June, 2013

This is probably our 5th visit here and each time there are improvements which make this a fantastic place to stay. Would have no hesitation in staying here again as there is so much to see and do. We were lucky to go to Llandudno this time around - what a lovely place and views from Great Orme Tramway were absolutely fantastic. Also we have experienced lovely warm weather this time around. Hope to come back. Linda, Ann & Harry, Melbourne, Australia

11th August - 25th August, 2012:-

This is our 10th year staying here in Jasmine Cottage - we have all come to regard this as our second home. Karen & Allan go out of their way to make us feel special, the minute our cases are in the cottage we feel relaxed and ready to go to familiar places and to even find places we haven't been to over the years. Firm favourites remain such as Zoo, Blue Planet, Gulliver's, Welsh Mountain Zoo, Tatton Park, the Victorian Village in Telford and of course "shopping". We are looking forward to next year our 11th stay here. Thank you Karen & Allan.
Smith Family from the Isle of Man

18th May - 26th May, 2012:-

First class accommodation with everything one could want. It is certainly a pleasure staying here with everything in close driving distance being north, south, east and west. Even the warm weather was an unexpected bonus for us. The furniture, fittings, decorations etc. are a credit to both Karen and Alan and it certainly deserves more than its 5 star rating. We hope to return next year and would have no hesitation in staying here yet again. Many thanks once again.
Ann, Harry & Linda Zivin from Melbourne, Australia

16th December - 31st December, 2011:-

Christmas spent in Jasmine was great and "ditto" to all previous complimentary remarks. My job entails lots of travel around the world so I have a good knowledge of 5* service - this is a match for any of them. Grand kids stayed over as our family live in Neston and Chester. Thank you Karen and book us in again. Ben & Rochelle Grace, Doha, Qatar.

3rd September - 17th September, 2011:-

The accommodation was not good ... it was impressively GREAT!!! On a star rating system this deserves not 5 stars but at least 7 ... The location is great for access to N. Wales, The Wirral, Manchester and Chester City itself. The standard of decor and fittings put Jasmine Cottage firmly in the luxury slot - probably the best rental we have ever made. Karen, we do so hope you keep Jasmine Cottage going as a rental and maintain the tremendous standard you have achieved ... We will be back!! Thanks. Shirley and Jim Rae [West Sussex].

27th August - 3rd September, 2011

We were not disappointed, we were aware of the high standard and our expectations were exceeded. The cottage was very comfortable, homely with pleasing decor. Chester is a lovely city and location of the cottage excellent. Thank you very much Karen, it has been a lovely start to our holiday from Australia. Enid & Jeff.

13th August - 27th August, 2011

Really enjoyed our 9th visit to Jasmine Cottage. We love it here. Love the new leather suites and lovely wooden floors. We had great weather, lots of shopping and visits to Llandudno - up the Orme to summit via tram. Welsh Mountain Zoo brilliant, lovely snow leopards. Great sea lion show and the views from the zoo really worth the visit too. Telford [one and a half hours away] great. Victorian town a real treat using "old" money to buy things [Iron Bridge Gorge]. Victorian Pharmacy as seen on t.v. Tatton good place to go - Thursday best day as old hall open - going back centuries. Chester Zoo and Blue Planet remain great places to visit. We always go home happy after a lovely vist and will be back for10th anniversary. Thanks Karen. Smith Family from I.O.M.

9th - 16th April 2011:-

Lovely accommodation with everything we could have wanted supplied - and more besides! Thank you for your warm reception. We will recommend Jasmine Cottage to our friends and family. Graham and Anna Romain, Bristol.

Written by Joe Romain, 11 years' old:-
I found all of the following places very enjoyable and exciting. Jodrell Bank has alot of things to do there. The Lovell Telescope was remarkable also. The zoo was also very fun and exciting. There was a lot of animals [and I mean alot!] and cafes. Unfortunately the only animal we couldn't see was the Jaguar. I would also reccomend a walk along the canal as there is a lot of nice wildlife and scenery. There's also loads of ducks! Last but not least I would also reccomend a walk around the beautiful city walls that let you gaze over the city.

7th March - 11th March 2011:-

Thank you Karen for a lovely welcome it was nice to meet you. Thank you for the wine fruit and beautiful flowers, also chocolates. Your house is absolutely wonderful its the best we have ever stayed in so very clean comfortable and very well equipped and positioned. Jasmine Cottage will be recommended to all our family and friends it's first class. Brenda, Neville and Karen, Shropshire.

29th August 2010:-

The following was written by Aimee Smith from the Isle of Man who has stayed in Jasmine Cottage for 8 consecutive years with her family:

Our stay in Chester was wonderful and we especially loved the victorian village in Telford, Shropshire. We would also like to come back to the cottage like we have been doing for eight years and I am 10 now so I was 2 then and I always love watering the plants. I recommend that children and adults will and will always love it here. There is nice soft comfy beds and games and a really big television screen and if your not busy pop by and see if the nieghbours are in and have a friendly chat! Karren has done so well. The Smith family, I.O.M. Aimee x

24th July to 31st July 2010:-

Beautiful cottage - full of everything needed in a household. We love Chester - it has to be the most beautiful place in Britain. enjoyed every moment of our stay here - a home away from home. We would love to come back some time in the future and would certainly stay here again. Thank you Karen for your warm friendly greeting!! My in-laws would love to stay here also - must take details of address for them. Would recommend Jasmine Cottage to any of our friends travelling to the U.K. Julie & Richard - Matt x Netanya - Israel.

12th - 19th June 2010:-

After pin pointing a place to stay on a map we never expected a wonderful surprise awaiting us. Firstly the house so elegantly appointed, we wanted for nothing. All our comforts were met and more. We did intend to use the house as somewhere to journey to and from. After exploring the city we felt there was so much to see and do there we never ventured further. This is one of our very favourite spots on our holiday. A week we will reflect on for many years to come. Thanks Karen for all your advice. Your award was certainly earned. Wendy, Merrill & Betty - West Australia.

18th January - 22nd January 2010:-

It's not often you can say that the place you stay in on holiday is as comfortable and relaxing as your own home so I must congratulate Karen so much. You have really done fantastic in preparing Jasmine Cottage. The awards you have won are very much deserved and we hope you win many many more. Thank you for a lovely welcoming and we will definitely be telling all our friends back in the Isle of Man about your lovely cottage. We will of course be back ourselves in the future so good luck and all the best wishes. The Kirkham family from the Isle of Man.
ps The goodies were fantastic x

5th September - 17th October 2009:-

A superb cottage - it has been a pleasure to stay in such a beautifully equipped and fitted property and we congratulate you on your good taste and exceptional attention to detail. Rental properties of this high standard are hard to find and we would not hesitate to strongly recommend it - a little gem!

Thank you Karen & Alan for your very warm welcome & help throughout our stay.

11th August - 25th August 2007:-

We have just enjoyed our 5th year staying at Jasmine Cottage - and the facilities just keep on improving. Karen & Allan should be the benchmark for all holiday cottages, they demonstratethis by providing everything you can think of - and more besides. The awards they have received must make them very proud.
Thank you Karen. We'll be back! Smith Family Isle of Man

8th September - 15th September 2007:-

This is the best appointed cottage we have stayed in, & the welcome was very much appreciated [never had this before!]. Jasmine Cottage deserves every accolade it receives. Chester City everything we expected. A lovely car ride - take the A494 past Bala, this skirts the bottom of the Snowdonia National Park - scenery is stunning. Tatton Park house & gardens also well worth a visit. We will be back & will recommend this to family & friends. Barbara & Dave Williams, Essex.

Friday, 25th January, 2008:-

Many thanks Karen - this is a lovely cottage - everything one could possibly want - we have stayed in some lovely accommodation in the UK, but this was the best set up by far.
The kids loved the games especially RISK. My teeange son said that this place was "awesome" as it had the best DVD collection - all of his favorites. North Wales is beautiful, even in the rain! Chester is a wonderful town for just wandering about in, shopping & having a coffee. We will definitely tell our friends & family about this place.
All the best Peter, Susan, Alexander & William Bradbury - Canberra, Australia

11th - 25th April 2009:-

Our fourth year here in a row - says it all, really. We find new things to explore every year, and as our son grows up we return to previous haunts with fresh eyes. A couple of highlights this year: Techniquest Science Discovery Centre at Wrexham [J.5 of A483/A541]. Great fun for children of all ages - had to drag dad away! Another day we drove to Woodside Ferry Terminal in Birkenhead at the end of the A41. Took the famous Ferry Cross the Mersey to the Royal Liver Building. This is adjacent to Underwater Street [ a basement in Water Street!] a fantastic children's discovery centre.
This makes for a really lovely family day out. The Spence Family from Plymouth
